ART SPACE stift millstatt

Im Jahr 2020 konzipierte Andrea K. Schlehwein die mehrteilige archipelago-Serie, in der jeweils ein zeitgenössisches Tanzsolo singulär als Reflektion, als Blaupause einer inneren Welt steht. Lose verbunden durch Kontext und gewählte künstlerische Methode, macht AKS den fragilen Blick ihrer Solistinnen (Tanzkünstlerinnen NETZWERK AKS) auf fragilen Seinszustände, politische, ökonomische ebenso wie persönlichkeitsreflektierende sichtbar – alle ringen um Resonanz mit einer heutigen Außenwelt.

In der aktuellen Edition archipelago² zeigt eine enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen der taiwanesischen Tanzkünstlerin Jye Hwei Lin und der Choreographin Andrea K. Schlehwein.

Gemeinsam verweben sie auf subtile Weise ein Netz autobiografischer Fragmente.

Bewegung, visuelle Bilder, gesprochene Gedanken, Klänge und Objekte fliessen als ewig unterbrochene, nicht narrative Elemente in einem persönlichen Dokument zusammen. Die Tänzerin lädt zu persönlicher Begegnung in ein installatives Labyrinth, das losgelöst von ihrer individuellen Geschichte so nicht bestehen würde.

In 2020, Andrea K. Schlehwein conceived the multi-part series archipelago comprised of contemporary dance solos that each stand singularly as a reflection and blueprint of an inner world. Loosely connected by context and artistic method, AKS highlights the fragile perspective of her soloists (NETZWERK AKS dance artists) on fragile political, economic as well as personal states of being – all in a struggle for resonance with the contemporary outside world.

The current edition archipelago² features a close collaboration between Taiwanese dance artist Jye Hwei Lin and choreographer Andrea K. Schlehwein.

Together they subtly weave a web of autobiographical fragments.

Movement, visual images, spoken thoughts, sounds and objects come together as eternally disrupted non-narrative elements to form a personal document. The dancer invites personal encounters in an installation-like labyrinth that would not exist like this without considering her individual history.

NETZWERK AKS @ UKREP Festival Ljubljana

NETZWERK AKS war auf Gastspiel – Andrea K. Schlehwein mit 5 Tänzer*innen, 2 NETZWERK AKS Produktionen (#shivering + butterfly tales) – beim UKREP Festival im PTL, Plesni Teater Ljubljana / Dance Theatre Ljubljana.

Als Team eingespielt von der Zeit davor, mit Proben und zwei Vorstellungen desselben Programms im ART SPACE stift millstatt, ging es in Ljubljana nahtlos weiter. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und sehr gut betreut, konnten uns voll auf die Proben und Performances konzentrieren und beide Produktionen in Hochform zeigen.

Gegenseitiges Vertrauen im Team, gutes Wetter, verbindliche Begegnungen mit den Partnern des Festivals, free flow im Tagesablauf und vieles mehr haben die Atmosphere bestimmt. Es war eine bereichernde und coole Zeit!

NETZWERK AKS – Andrea K. Schlehwein and 5 dancers – were guests at the UKREP Festival at PTL, Plesni Teater Ljubljana / Dance Theatre Ljubljana with 2 NETZWERK AKS productions – #shivering + butterfly tales.

As a team well-tuned from the time before, when we rehearsed and performed the same program twice at ART SPACE stift millstatt, we continued seamlessly in Ljubljana. Warmly welcomed and very well cared for, we could fully concentrate on the rehearsals and performances and show both productions in top form.

Mutual trust within the team, good weather, committed meetings with the festival partners, a free flow during the day and more defined the atmosphere. It was an enriching and cool time!
