Die small dances without title sind Preziosen, zunächst choreografiert von Andrea K. Schlehwein. Sie greifen Jahre zurück und werden fortlaufend in enger Zusammenarbeit mit- wie weiter entwickelt vom Label

Die small dances without title stammen zum Teil aus abendfüllenden Choreografien, in denen sie keinen Platz gefunden haben. Geliebt aber oft (noch) nicht vor Publikum präsentiert. Es sind durchchoreografierte Tanzsequenzen von hohem ästhetischem und tänzerischem Anspruch. In diesem Sommer werden sie getanzt von den drei NETZWERK AKS Tänzerinnen: Jerneja Fekonja, Unita Gay Galiluyo, Petra Peček, die alle drei ihr Solo selbst entwickelt und choreografiert haben.

 

Diese Appetithäppchen stehen für sich und suchen doch ihren Kontext. Sie wollen mehr sein als nur Fundstücke, mehr sein als lediglich Etüden aus dem Repertoire der international besetzten Plattform für Tanz + Kunst, dem Label Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS.  Zu sehen ist ein Repertoirematerial, das jede Netzwerkerin tanzen können muß, möchte sie dazugehören, unserem Anspruch an Persönlichkeit und technischer Beherrschung genügen.

 

Dieser Anspruch ist für die freie Szene eher selten. Tänzerische Pralinen verschwinden, weil es keine Bühne gibt, die kurze Stücke, die dennoch längst keine Kleinigkeiten sind, präsentieren möchte.

Wir halten sie am Leben, Choreografien, wie die plakativ-performativen Flag Dances aus dem Jahr 2017, die bereits damals den Irrsinn von Nation und dumpfem Zugehörigkeitswillen thematisierten, ein Trio, die Variation 17.4.1. in nicht leichter, neoklassischer Tanzsprache, eine wilde Polka in direkter, mitreissender Übersetzung in die Bewegung, witzig ein von Michael Jackson inspiriertes Tanzsolo und einiges andere mehr.

The small dances without title are little gems, initially choreographed by Andrea K. Schlehwein. They go back years and are continuously developed further in close collaboration with the artists of the label 

Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS.

The small dances without title are partly taken from full-length choreographies in which they found no place. Loved but often not (yet) presented in front of an audience. They are precisely choreographed dance sequences of high aesthetic and technical standards. This summer they are danced by the three NETZWERK AKS dancers Jerneja Fekonja, Unita Gay Galiluyo, Petra Peček, all of whom have choreographed and developed their own solo.

These appetisers stand alone and yet are looking for their context. They want to be more than just fragments, more than mere etudes from the repertoire of the international platform for dance + art, the label Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS.

What we see is repertoire material that every NETZWERK dancer must be able to dance if she wants to be part of the team and meet our standards in terms of personality and technical mastery.

Such high standards are rather rare in the independent scene. Dance treasures disappear because there is no stage that wants to present short pieces that are, however, far from being trifles.

We keep them alive, choreographies such as the bold performative Flag Dances from 2017, which already at that time addressed the insanity of nationalism and the dull desire to belong; a trio, the Variation 17.4.1. in a quite complex neoclassical dance language; a wild polka as direct, engaging translation into movement; a witty dance solo inspired by Michael Jackson, and much more.
