r o b o t i c MELANCHOLIA ist ein Hybrid, eine Performance, die über den Tanz von Unita Gay Galiluyo hinausgeht und Objekte, Reflexionen, Lichtquellen und Film in einer mixed-media-and-mixed-materials Inszenierung zusammenführt, die grundsätzliche Fragen darüber formuliert, wohin sich die theatrale Live Situation entwickelt, in welchem Raum zukünftig die Nähe zwischen Bühne und Publikum erlebbar sein mag.

ist die aktuelle Installation von Andrea K. Schlehwein aus der Serie FRACTUAL STRUCTURES, die in enger Verbindung zur Tanzperformance r o b o t i c MELANCHOLIA steht.
Sinnentleerte Objekte begleiten unser Leben. Nebeneinander sorgsam aufgereiht, sich denselben Raum teilend, entwickeln sie ein Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl, das tiefer geht als menschliche Empathie. Klassifizierungen wie Einheimische, Steuerinländerin, ewige Ausländerin, Flüchtling oder Migrantin sind über den Stammtisch hinaus lebendig und vermüllen ein soziales Miteinander. Die Objekte haben uns etwas voraus.

is Andrea K. Schlehwein's new production from the series FRACTUAL STRUCTURES, which deals with raw, uninhabited states of our present existence, dominated by the lockdown, and its current effects.
r o b o t i c MELANCHOLIA is a hybrid, a performance that goes beyond the dance of Unita Gay Galiluyo, bringing together objects, reflections, light sources and film in a mixed media and mixed materials production that asks fundamental questions about where the theatrical live situation will be heading and in which spaces a closeness between stage and audience can be experienced in the future.

Objects devoid of meaning are part of our lives. Carefully arranged next to each other, sharing the same space, they develop a feeling of togetherness that goes deeper than human empathy. Classifications such as local citizen, tax resident, eternal foreigner, refugee or migrant are carried on beyond pub talk and spoil our social coexistence. The objects have an advantage over us.
