In den Phasen der Vorbereitung, Einstudierungen, Proben, Vorstellungen und Postproduktion wurde Andrea K. Schlehwein begleitet von Alina Jacobs als choreografische Assistenz, die sowohl von Rotterdam (NL) aus mit Einstudierungen der Wiederaufnahmen, Foto/Video Bearbeitung und Text-Material, als vor Ort Einstudierungen mit leitetet, den Sound machte, als Tänzerin selbst in Produktionen zu sehen war und die Kommunikation zwischen Tänzer-Team, Produktions-Team und Andrea während der intensiven Arbeitszeit balancierte. Dazu kam phasenweise Andrea Maria Handler, die vor Ort bei allem was anstand schnell, mit viel positiver Energie alle unterstützte und Arbeiten erledigte.
Während zwei der Haupt-Neuproduktionen IN + EX I situ und light things + dark things und während der Veranstaltung KUNSTNACHT 2021 wurde das jeweilige Team begleitet von Martin Schinagl als Videokünstler, der durch seinen Theater- und Filmbackground auch künstlerisch die Zeit bereicherte!
Die komplexe, tiefgreifende und flexible Arbeit dieses Teams hätte nicht laufen können
mit hungrigen Mägen und so sind alle dankbar, dass es einmal täglich eine warme, gesunde, gemeinsame Mahlzeit gab – zubereitet von Brigitte Büsken unter dem Label Table 13.
Mitte Mai bis Mitte September Das Produktionsbüro büro für tanz I theater I produktionen hat durch Kontinuität und die professionelle Vorbereitung im Jahr 2020 auch durch seine internationale Vernetzung unter der Leitung von Andrea K. Schlehwein trotz Corona ein umfassendes Jahresprogramm realisiert, das nicht virtuell, sondern live mit viel extra Arbeit unter Einhaltung aller geltenden Covid 19 Sicherheitsregeln präsentiert wurde. 2021 ist das Jahr neuer, starker Kooperationspartnerinnen: so das Architektur Haus Kärnten (Raffaela Lackner und Peter Nigst) für das Baukultur Jahrs 2021, das Klagenfurt Festival (Bernd Liepold Mosser), das UKREP Festival (Katja Somrak) mit dem Plesni Theater Ljubljana als Spielort, den diversen Kunstorganisationen in Stift Millstatt im Rahmen der KUNSTNACHT 2021, der National Arts and Culture Foundation Taiwan, dem Neustart Kultur NRW aus Deutschland.
Das freischaffende Team des Managements und think tanks – ohne das die Arbeit von NETZWERK AKS nicht möglich wäre – setzte sich 2021 unter der Leitung von Andrea K. Schlehwein zusammen aus: Eleonore Schäfer (Produktionsleitung, Grafik Layout und Finanzen), Brigitte Büsken (table 13, Covid 19 Maßnahmen, Produktionsassistenz), Alina Jacobs (Produktions- und choreografische Assistenz), Anna Zampetti (Texte), Roman Zotter (Blog, Grafik Layout, Übersetzungen) …
Unser Dank als Künstlerteam um AKS gilt den oben genannten Kooperationspartner*- und FördergeberInnen, wie dem Land Kärnten, der Gemeinde Millstatt, dem Bundesministerium für Kunst, Kultur, Öffentlicher Dienst und Sport und den Österreichischen Bundesforsten, die die Kooperation mit dem Baukulturjahr Kärnten 2021 unterstützt haben.
Wir haben viel Resonanz, unterstützende und berührende Rückmeldungen von unserem Publikum für unsere Arbeit erfahren. Das hat unseren Alltag sehr bereichert. Wir als Netzwerk sagen: Danke schön!
Doch das Jahr ist längst noch nicht zu Ende.
Die nächste, sicherlich umfangreichste NETZWERK AKS Produktion 2021, die eine begehrte Sonderförderung vom BMKOES aus der Reihe ‘Von der Bühne zum Video’ erhalten hat, folgt mit der Realisation des Tanzfilmkonzeptes too many heroes für 11 Kameras.
Langeweile steht ersteinmal nicht an.

Looking back at 2021 . NETZWERK AKS
Mid May to Mid September
During 4 months NETZWERK AKS, under the artistic direction of Andrea K. Schlehwein, has conceived, created, rehearsed and presented live 5 new productions, 3 revivals and 2 installations. This happened in Austria, at ART SPACE stift milllstatt, at the opening of Klagenfurt Festival 2021, as contributions to the Baukulturjahr (year of building culture) 2021 at Stift Millstatt and Stift Ossiach as well as in Slovenia at the Plesni Theater Ljubljana as part of UKREP Festival.
The dance team consisted of 6 dancers during these months: Unita Gay Galiluyo (Philippines / Germany), Jye Hwei Lin (Taiwan / Hong Kong), Woosang Jeon (South Korea / Germany), Seung Hwan Lee (South Korea / Norway), Andrea Maria Handler (Austria) and Alina Jacobs (Netherlands / Germany). According to each phase of creation, the team was present in Millstatt in different constellations – coming and going requires flexibility, concentration, trust and working hand in hand. Sometimes parts were rehearsed that finally would not presented in front of an audience, which nonetheless greatly supported and accelerated the rehearsal process with the final cast. Regular corona tests determined the weekly rhythm, which was characterized by a quick change between the various full-length productions, asking flexibility from both Andrea and us, the dancers. Each piece brought its own very unique requirements... in terms of physicality, emotion, audience relations and the connection between each other.
Andrea K. Schlehwein led this team of dancers from one production to the next, in each rehearsal phase creating anew and in no time, with the support of the production team (Eleonore Schäfer, Brigitte Büsken and Alina Jacobs), a new DANCE space for BEING and meeting. Apart from the actual SPACE, which varied in terms of the size of the dance floor, the light and sound setting, the supporting props (platforms, tree trunks / stones, video installations) – she led the team again and again, in training and rehearsal phases, into the complex internal SPACE of the body, the individual emotional SPACE, the social SPACE of each team and into the compositional SPACE of each production. In addition to the choreographic work with the artist collective NETZWERK AKS in Millstatt, Andrea lent her choreographic input to the theater production MEDEA (Theater Wolkenflug, Ute Liepolt) and initiated, together with the think tank, the first Kunstnacht Stift Millstatt. Presenting a wide range of dance films, AKS gave insight into the little-known cinematic work of Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS over the last 13 working years in Carinthia and Korea. Various interviews took place, such as a joint interview with Aron Stiehl on the subject of shadow and light and for a radio report on Ö1 in the context of the science magazine Dimensionen.
In the phases of preparation, rehearsals, performances and post-production, Andrea K. Schlehwein was accompanied by Alina Jacobs as her choreographic assistant, who helped rehearsing revival productions, edited photo/video and text material remotely from Rotterdam (NL) and was also present on site, where she co-directed rehearsals, ran the sound, participated herself as a dancer and streamlined the communication between the team of dancers, the production team and Andrea during the intensive working period. At times, she was joined by Andrea Maria Handler, who took over tasks and helped with everything that was needed quickly and with a lot of positive energy.
In two of the main new productions, IN + EX I situ and light things + dark things , as well as during the KUNSTNACHT 2021 event, the team was accompanied by video artist Martin Schinagl, who with his theater and film background also enriched the work artistically!
The complex, profound and flexible work of this team could not have run on empty stomachs and so everyone was grateful for the daily warm and wholesome joint meal, prepared by Brigitte Büsken under the label Table 13.

The production office büro für tanz | theater | produktionen, through continuity and professional preparation in 2020 and thanks to its international network under the direction of Andrea K. Schlehwein, has managed to implement a comprehensive annual programme despite Corona, which did not happen in the virtual space, but live, with lots of additional work to ensure compliance with all applicable Covid 19 safety rules. 2021 is a year of strong new cooperation partners, such as the Architektur Haus Kärnten (Raffaela Lackner and Peter Nigst) for Baukulturjahr 2021, the Klagenfurt Festival (Bernd Liepold Mosser), the UKREP Festival (Katja Somrak) with Plesni Theater Ljubljana as its venue, the various art organizations in Stift Millstatt for KUNSTNACHT 2021, the National Arts and Culture Foundation Taiwan and Neustart Kultur NRW from Germany.

Our thanks as a team of artists around AKS go to the above-mentioned cooperation partners as well as our subsidizers, such as the State of Carinthia, the municipality of Millstatt, the Federal Ministry for Art, Culture, Public Service and Sports as well as the Austrian Federal Forests, who supported the cooperation with the Carinthian Year of Building Culture 2021.
From our audience we have received a lot of good response, supportive and touching feedback for our work, which has greatly enriched our everyday life. We as NETZWERK say: Thank you!
But the year is far from over.
The next, certainly the most extensive NETZWERK AKS production of 2021, which received a coveted special grant from the BMKOES as part of the series 'From Stage to Video',
will follow – the realization of the dance film concept too many heroes for 11 cameras.
We are not expecting to be bored soon.
