What does it mean to (still) be HERE NOW (alive) (in this world)?

Andrea K. Schlehwein not only contemplates this question herself; she has also invited a number of international artists and thinkers, more or less closely connected to NETZWERK AKS, to explore this topic and share their thoughts with us and the world – in the form of textual and visual material, without any further specifications regarding content, style, design or format.

Within a very short time, we were lucky to bring the dance artists Maria Mavridou (GR/NL), Carlos Osatinsky + Fernando Nicolás Pelliccioli (AR/DE), Rosalie Wanka (DE) and TingAn Ying (TW/DE), the poet Marco Sagurna (DE), the photographer Tim van den Oudenhoven (BE/DE) and the dance scholar Jasmina Založnik (SI) on board for this series.

Their contributions, which we believe and hope will be distinctly different from one another, will be published here on our BLOG in the coming weeks, alongside the preparations for the upcoming dance production while we are here by Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS, set to be performed in Slovenia and Austria in June.

Afterwards, we will also publish this series as an print edition with a strong visual component.

We are very happy about the positive reactions from the participants and excited to see what ideas, thoughts, questions, feelings and images they are ready to share with us.

Was bedeutet es, JETZT (noch) HIER (am Leben) (in dieser Welt) zu sein?

Andrea K. Schlehwein stellt sich diese Frage nicht nur selbst. Sie hat auch eine Reihe internationaler, mehr oder weniger eng mit dem NETZWERK AKS verbundener Künstler:innen/Denker:innen eingeladen, sich mit dieser Frage auseinanderzusetzen und ihre Gedanken mit uns und der Welt zu teilen – in Form von Textbeiträgen und Bildmaterial, ohne nähere Vorgaben bezüglich Inhalt, Gestaltung und Format.

Innerhalb sehr kurzer Zeit konnten wir für diese Textreihe die Tanzkünstler:innen Maria Mavridou (GR/NL), Carlos Osatinsky + Fernando Nicolás Pelliccioli (AR/DE), Rosalie Wanka (DE) und TingAn Ying (TW/DE), den Poeten Marco Sagurna (DE), den Fotografen Tim van den Oudenhoven (BE/DE) und die Theaterwissenschaftlerin Jasmina Založnik (SI) gewinnen.

Die vermutlich und hoffentlich sehr unterschiedlich gestalteten Beiträge werden wir in den nächsten Wochen hier auf unserem BLOG veröffentlichen, parallel zu den Vorbereitungen für die Neuproduktion while we are here von Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS, die im Juni in Slowenien und Österreich aufgeführt wird.

Anschließend werden wir die Textreihe auch in gedruckter Form als visuell aufbereitete Edition publizieren.

Wir freuen uns sehr über die positiven Reaktionen der Teilnehmer:innen und sind gespannt, welche Ideen, Gedanken, Fragen, Gefühle und Bilder sie mit uns teilen werden.
